BRIDES TO BE: How to Avoid Makeup Disasters!

Dear brides to be, if you dont have any makeup knowledge at all, dont be IGNORANT about it and put it solely to the mak andam/MUA to do it for you. No doubt they can do it, but sometimes, they can do ikut sedap dorang sahaja and sometimes it doesnt suit you right. as i have seen many and i felt so sad looking at the outcome everytime i attended wedding function.

YOU SHOULDNT END UP WITH MAKEUP DISASTER ON YOUR WEDDING DAY!

DO YOUR HOMEWORK!

No doubt you wanted to save budget, you couldnt afford to hire the professionals to do it for you, you relied on the amateurs like mak andam/ newbies in makeup line to the the makeup for you. i know some might not want to have the brows plucked/trimmed, wearing lashes etc. to certain extend, wearing lashes actually does help to open up you look even though the makeup is natural. for the brows, it does require skills and experience to handle and make it look neat and nice even without trimming. Cos i often see those bushy brows are colored with browliners (dark colours especially) and it doest make the whole makeup look completely disastrous and i do pity the bride as it shouldnt be that way!

If you are not good at makeup, you dont know anything about makeup, this is what you should do. dont destroy your big day looking terrible applied makeup.ignorant is not an excuse! your wedding is once in a lifetime and you will need to do some homework on this. Remember, everything will be captured in the picture, so it will last forever. you might not want to regret after 10 years " i should have..." that is just a lil bit too late dont you think?. in order not to feel that way, read through some tips i had for you.

1. Look into magazines, they have plenty of makeovers/models look on makeup. best is to look at the bridal magazine. They have plenty of makeup ideas you can see through the fashion spread for bridal dresses where the models wear makeup that match with the dress.

2. if you have friends that know makeup, and have knowledge about it, ask their opinion. dont be shy about it. or even you can post to your timeline in FB or twitter and asked about it.

3. Google " bridal makeup" or " makeup pengantin" and i believe you can see plenty of images you can see and you might get something you like. Youtube also offers some videos you can see on makeup tutorials regarding bridal makeup.

4. Consult with the makeup artist. communicate with them. if you have hire the wedding planner and purchase the whole package that include the makeup, please get the makeup artist contact number and contact them. you need to communicate with every vendor.

5. Show the pictures to the makeup artist the look that you want. they will understand better on what you want and your preferences will be met according to your features.

6. go to the makeup store. Since you buy makeup stuffs at the makeup store, get the makeup consultant to teach you on what you buy, also can asked their opinion on what kind of makeup will be best for you on your wedding. they will gladly help you with it.

At the end of the day, you must not neglect this feature in your wedding day. Makeup should be done according to your preferences, comfort and ability to carry the look. It shouldnt age you more than you do, it suppose to brightened you up and make you the most prettiest girl in the world. By all means, keep some money at least about RM1000 for you to get nice makeup from the professionals for 2 functions at least.

Makeup class will be conducted on weekends only. Please choose your preferred class and book your dates with me. 3 weeks in advance for booking.Deposit of 50% will be collected in order to secure your date and time. MAKEUP REVIEW: Sephora's Professional Perfection Primer

Sephora. its a wait that is worth my time and soul. JK!. i was in Thailand when they launched in Malaysia. only now i got the chance to pay them a visit. simply amazing building.i like the architecture and design of it. not becos of that. the whole layout and the products drive me crazayy.i went to the main stre at Starhill, i was expecting a good service however it failed me. i was there and assisted myself for the entire 30min i was there. only the MUFE consultant came to ask but the rest? none.

I bought few stuffs there including the Perfection Primer. i saw some reviews gave some not-so-nice review but some of them see this thing a must have that worth your money also wont burnt your pocket or burst your purse!

Well, most of them, the review come from those who have Europeans, Americans and other pan asian skin. For Asian skin, this is how it reacts. i test this primer with the use of 2 different foundation on my skin. The texture of the primer appeared to be slightly thicker compared to the ones i normally use, but it was like Prep & prime by MAC texture. When applied on the skin, the pearly pink shade appeared and dissolve accordingly on the skin and have this glow effects. After i apply the foundation, it immediately helps to smoothened the application and helps my foundation application even.
The result? kept on reading.

it takes me few days to see how this Primer reacts on my skin, cos my skin have the tendency to reject certain cosmetics and doesnt agree and stay well yet sometimes appeared too oily. The verdict, the primer acted as it stated. Perfection Primer. perfected the makeup. both foundation glides on well on my skin.

After a while, MAC foundation give this effect of glow and a lil bit more shinier than Stage foundation. however i like both of these effects cos this will help to give the dewy look. i like that cos it makes ur skin appeared more natural and doesnt make you look applied too much foundation.

When i applied this Primer, i was sitting in a fan,room temperatured room, however in humid condition. I didnt apply any powder on top to see how it went with the foundation. After a while, the powder was puffed, my makeup lasted all day.

After removing, applying skin regime, went to sleep and check out my skin the next day. TA-DA. no pimples.no breakouts. it seems to do well with my skin, i bet its gonna be A ok with yours too. it only cost u about RM69 per tube. If u have very sensitive skin, i recommend you to have a sensitive patch test before u buy.

hey everyone! i came across this brand few days ago and browse around their products via internet.
They had plenty of good products with reasonble pricing! however, the price was not available on the internet, and it was in Thai. u might want to translate the page to read the product details. It was Thailand brand, which named the product as Beneficial, which their cosmetics product which combine makeup & skin care in one! browse more at http://www.orientalprincess.com

One product that catch my eye was the cream blush, which in a stick form! i like it! its easy to apply, u can used them directly or u can use the cosmetics sponge to apply on your cheek. Since the colour pigment was light and the concept of au naturale, this product deliver amazing result.

i did 2 swatches for this: one with only the cream blush and another with a powder blush that i applied on top of the cream blush. the result was amazing! with one shade u can achieve plenty colours. However, with just the blush itself, wont last long. therefore u will need to pressed some powder on top of the blusher to make it last.

there are 3 colours available, but i manage to try only one colour - Pink Brick. its like peachy pink colour and it give a nice healthy glow when applied. i like it! the texture was not so sticky but it was just nice. the rate is 4/5!

Terdapat beberapa petua yang menggunakan bahan-bahan yang mudah didapati yang bermanfaat untuk diamalkan oleh para bakal pengantin perempuan dalam melengkapi proses rawatan tradisional sebelum melangkah ke jinjang pelamin. Antara petua tersebut ialah:

Daun Sirih

30 hari sebelum hari perkahwinan – Ambil segenggam daun sirih yang agak besar saiznya dan rebuskan ia di dalam air putih buat beberapa minit sehingga warna air agak berubah kehijauan. Gunakan air rebusan tersebut untuk mencuci wajah anda setiap hari. Biarkan di muka seketika, kemudian bilaskan dengan air sejuk. Ia mampu mengelakkan jerawat atau ruam-ruam kecil di muka sekaligus menaikkan seri wajah.

Bunga Mawar

Untuk menaikkan seri muka, bakal pengantin boleh mengamalkan petua memakan kelopak bunga mawar selama 44 hari sebelum tarikh perkahwinan. Dahulukan dengan bacaan selawat ke atas nabi, Fatihah dan ayat Nabi Yusof sebelum memakannya.

Hey everyone! i came across this cosmetic boutique called BEAUTY BUFFET in Thailand and went there to check out few products. i was attracted to their staffs and shop environment. i've tried the browliner and loving it! i shall rate them 4/5! This are the pictures of the swatches that i did and how does it look like. it comes with the mini eye brow brush for u to use to blend the colours. Price wise its only 130baht or RM13!

They have 3 colour of selection. i chose this colour as i prefer a lighter tone brown. its light and not too dark. just nice for Asian! The not-so creamy texture makes the browliner easy to blend, comes with the cap so u dont have to worry about the pencil tip to break. A light stroke give me this colour and an impression of easy weasy usage for everyone. GREAT FOR BEGINNER! ^^v

Come with the cover for both sides.

Great product with reasonable price!

i'm one person whois very particular about browliner colour. this captures my eye!

Please to be informed that i have freeze these dates.
i will not be able to take up any appointment within this 3 months

Please be informed any quotation request within this 3 months will not responded.

Bookings for September onwards has opened and is filling up fast.
Likewise, as usual, last minute is subject to availability.
Please visit frequently to check on updates regarding promotion within this month.

Since fuel price has increase, there will be a slight increment in my makeup service rate starting now onwards. Not to worry, just a few ringgit only. will not cost a bomb!

Ohh! actually wanted to share with you about counterfeits of fakes cosmetics. Did you know that it do more harm than good? so please buy them at the respective counters. stop buying and supporting the counterfeits industry. it doesnt do any good. ( Im talking like as if am the ANTI- CORRUPTION officer!) . yes. if u saw the word corruption, counterfeits is one of them besides bribery. i know the original product burnt your pocket, but somehow, the quality and safety of the product is guaranteed and there's always a returned policy. start saving and buy the product you want. its totally worth the feeling! :)

Enough of me blabbering ere, i hope and look forward to meet and makeover my incoming client in year ahead in 2011 and make u guys look absolute gorgeous!
